Sometimes each person has stories hillarious today I’ve one and involved my half american and half latino name origin.

My father always was a person who inspired to anyone with your enthusiasm, his 73 years on this planet were truly fun. In that sense, your desires always were linked with experiences about your life, my name is one.

He told me that my name will be Richard McDouglas ’cause when he was young he listened a radio novel in Ecuador, were the main character was a kind of James Bond from Latinamerica. Thanks a lot Humberto Valentín Salvatierra Rerquena because your told me that my name was inspired in Richard Pond, and you was right because I was looking for about this radio show and I found “The Secret Agent 009” The famous adventures of the secret agent Richard Pond, before whose number — double zero nine — the enemies of good and justice tremble.

Marketing tri-fold brochure and catalog page with the series synopsis for the radio soap opera, Secret Agent 009, produced by America’s Productions, Inc. Secret Agent 009 was a continuing suspense/drama series containing 13 individual story titles.
Folleto tríptico de mercadeo y página de catálogo con sinopsis del serie para el título El agente secreto 009, producido por America’s Productions, Inc. El agente secreto fue una serie de continuidad de suspenso/drama con 13 historias individuales.

It’s really interesting ’cause this titles are related with the close connection between United States an Cuba through “The Louis J. Boeri and Minín Bujones Boeri Collection of Cuban-American Radionovelas, 1963–1970

In the page of Tulane University Digital Library there are a great description about the origin of this radio novel:

From his office and studios on the fifth floor of “The Freedom Tower” in Miami, Italian-American Louis J. Boeri and his company, America’s Productions, Inc. (API), formed a radio programming empire, selling their products to the United States government, to 200 radio stations in Latin America and Spain, and to Spanish-language radio stations in the United States during the latter half of the 1960s. With scripts penned by acclaimed Cuban scriptwriters in exile and Mexican writers as well, America’s Productions, Inc. produced two types of entertainment radio programming: one kind featuring political content, and a second kind, generally characterized as ‘pure entertainment.’ The entertainment programming was designed for both U.S. Latino and Latin American audiences and the content included radionovelas/dramas, comedies, advice programs, biblical dramas, mysteries, spy stories, and variety shows.

But this interesting origin of my name are an hillarious side ’cause the day that my father went to register my name in the office related in that affair the person in charge said

— Hey you don’t look like one American citizen! You only give you to him One American name and One Latino Name, ok? —

In that precisely moment, my beloved mother take part of this situation and she decided give me to me my second name: Eduardo, ’cause that was the name of the doctor in charge when I was born, Eduardo Alvarez. Thanks mommy Juanita Antonia Ube Aguayo for helping me in this complicated process of obtaining an identity on this planet.

At the end of the day I have always said that we all have many stories to tell, the real problem is that we forget about ourselves and live to meet a schedule, in a job, fulfilling the dreams of others and forgetting about our own dreams. This path of living is often complicated, but the only thing that differentiates us from others are the decisions we make daily, 90% of the things we do we have learned by imitation, only when we become aware of the importance of loving each other. ourselves is that we truly distance ourselves from complaining and complaining and from feeling that we are not doing something valuable for our lives.

Ok dear reader, what do you have to tell me in this process called life. Do you know some story like this or do you have something to tell me. I’ll reading you!
